The series “Danaé, in search of light” was born in 2021. It is a reflection at the intersection of two influences that have driven me for a long time:

- the myth of Danae, a solitary young woman locked in a tower by her father so that she never has children and to whom Zeus, disguised as a golden rain, joins

- The mystical ecstasies of Saint Teresa of Avila, who said she was pierced by the love of God.

The acts of penetration themselves are aggressive but the moments that interest me are the romantic waiting, the anticipation. I visualize them as moments of grace and sensuality where the woman offers herself to something intangible.​
